Apple has been adopting the 'Wall Garden' method by allowing only certified apps and customizations. But hackers want to break this wall, which they call jail. That is why it is called jail break.
A team of hackers called Uncover has unveiled the new jailbreak package. Apple does not allow its users to have full control over the iPhone by default, citing security reasons.
Jailbreak is a kind of custom software. It gives users full control and root access to their devices, using bugs in the iOS operating system. For this, Jailbreak breaks all the restrictions imposed by Apple.
On Monday morning, the Uncover team released Uncover 5.0.0. This is a new version of jailbreaking software. It can root and unlock all iOS devices. It can also unlock the latest iOS V 13.5.
This is possible because Uncover 5.0.0 uses Zero Day Vulnerability within the iOS operating system. Because Apple is not aware of such risks and vulnerabilities. Uncover member hacker PWN20W & D discovered the Zero Day.
Earlier jailbreaks used the old vulnerability. So it could not work on newer iOS versions. Users who wanted to jailbreak their smartphones had to use an outdated device.
This new jailbreak can be used on devices from iOS to MacOS, Linux and Windows. Here's how to use it. But security experts have advised users not to use jailbreaking.
This can expose the device to malware and other types of attacks. But the hacker team has said it will not affect the security of the device.
