Telecom's e-learning package for online classes, here's how to use it Nepal Telecom has introduced an 'e-Shikshya package' to help schools and universities conduct online tuition during the lockdown period announced by the state to reduce corona virus infection. Nepal Telecom has brought a special e-education package to provide data services at much cheaper rates than the existing market price to the mobile numbers recommended by the concerned educational institutions on the basis of requests received from various universities and schools of the country and consultation with government educational bodies. Under the special e-education package, 6 GB data for Rs 260 and 15 GB data for Rs 500 will be available within 28 days. Out of the total 6 GB data available at Rs 260, 3 GB data can be used for a total of 5 hours every day from 5 am to 10 am and the remaining 3 GB data can be used at any time. Similarly, out of 15 GB data available for 28 days at Rs. 500, 6 GB data can be used for only 5 hours each day from 5 am to 10 am and the remaining 9 GB data can be used at any time. The e-shikshya package can be used through all types of GSM mobile data services (2G, 3G and 4G) provided by Nepal Telecom. The data facility that can be used for 5 hours every day from 5 am to 10 am will be managed from the company's system. The company will provide the above services to the students and teachers based on the recommendations of the universities and schools at a much cheaper price than the market price considering the current difficult situation and the corporate social responsibility of the company. Universities and schools should send a recommendation with a list of numbers to be provided in the package to the email address provided by the company. The company will notify the recommended numbers by dialing * 1441 # to purchase the package via SMS. After receiving the SMS, one can purchase one of the two available packages by dialing * 1441 # from the same numbers. Telecom believes that the data package provided by the company will help in participating in online classes and downloading or exchanging educational materials using various apps and other software used for online education.
