May 20, The government has unveiled a new political and administrative map of Nepal, including Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulek. As the land management minister, Padma Aryal held a press conference on Wednesday and made public the map approved by the cabinet on Monday.

Minister Aryal said that the new map was made public as Gunji, Nabi Kutil and other areas were not included in the previous map. She expressed confidence that India would also take the issue of Nepal's new map positively.
All government documents and textbooks will now use the new version of maps. Minister Aryal also urged the general users to use the new version of the map.

Minister for Land Reforms Aryal said that they were proud and delighted to be able to make public the map of Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulek. "It is a historic happy moment for the whole of Nepal and for Nepalis to take the opportunity to unveil the updated map of Nepal," she said.
According to the Sugauli Treaty of 1816, the Kali River and its predecessor are an integral part of Nepal, but the current maps in Nepal do not include some areas east of the Kali River, including Gunji, Nabhi, Kuti, she said.
